Microphone Storage??

What's Hot
I have my shiny new Rode NT1A. It comes with a little bag to keep it in which won't protect it at all if I drop it or drop something on it.

What do you good people keep your mics in?

I've got a couple of live mics to look after as well, but they came in zipped thick foam sleeves and are far better protected.

I have several of these, which are a cheap copy of the Pelican cases.

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00S86TLKI

They use pick foam so you can shape it around the mic, when I fill one case up I buy another one etc.
I have a couple of Pelican cases too for the expensive stuff that I need to fly with.

Otherwise... Amazon has loads of alternatives, just search for microphone case, or a cardboard box is probably fine.
Or wrap some bubble wrap around the mic and put it in the provided case.

  • I keep all mine inside a drawer, if I'm taking them out then a good bag. My Rode has a big plastic box it came in, but it's annoying to carry. Usually I just throw it into one of my Novation backpacks.

    Bye!
