Boss br800 guitar to bass issues

I have a boss br800 , I’m really pleased with it apart from 1 thing. 
The guitar to bass effect doesn’t work that well. I find that it randomly doesn’t track the note too well so you need you end up with random sounding weird notes where it hasn’t tracked the note properly in amongst other notes.
ive tried changing guitars , using different pickup positions and even playing super simple parts , but it still does it. 
I wondered if anyone else had seen this issue before ?

Those sort of algorithms rarely work perfectly. Have you tried rolling all the tone off on the guitar? Might help.
