Spotify users - assistance please

We have a single premium sub, so we can use it on all devices but only stream on one at a time.

  Now....it works fine on my iPad and iPhone, the other halves Samsung phone and MacBook but....if I try and sign in on my Mac mini or my MP3 player ...no joy.

The other odd thing is that on my iPad,....which. I’m using right now, The user name in the Spotify App Is a number l about 10 digits, but if I look in the iPad passwords , the user name shows an enormous letter / digit thing....like about 50 characters?

How do you get on on multiple devices?

Have you tried signing in using your email address that you set the account up with? 
I'd think about paying the extra fiver for the family sub tbh

After a long twitter discussion with Spotify....it seems basically we need a duo account....its because its a Facebook linked account, and if we both try to log in its its confused...

I have a family account, trouble is that still doesn't help for my Amazon echos
I think you'd need to use a separate spotify account (i.e. email address account) for each device, which is easier with tablets and phones

Interesting.  So Echos don't identify the user by voice match like the Google Home devices? 

Our Homes are pretty good, but not entirely flawless with the Spotify family account.  As my teenage son's voice gets deeper it frequently gets him and me confused, even when we retrain the voice recognition.  This sometimes causes playback to stop for the other person, or it'll sometimes play stuff from each others library.  Otherwise we can ask it to play something and it'll do it under that person's account.
