Eruption cover, not like the usual ones though!

Enormous fan of EVH but eruption is the one thing I don't really "get" from his absolutely insane body of work. I think maybe I needed to be alive at the time to understand it.

I remember trying a Stylophone in a massive Co-op store as a kid. I was probably about 12. You put headphones on and it told you the notes to play. I dutifully went through this piece staring at the Stylophone, and when it finished I took the headphones on and turned around to a big round of applause! Unbeknown to me I was being piped out into the whole department and a crowd had gathered to listen! As a shy kid I was acutely embarrassed, but it also felt good.
