Long term Omnisphere user here - stunning, quality, deep and I use it in many of my finished recordings. But...it depends what you want. The downside is there’s no trial version, but there are of course YouTubes that demonstrate one preset after another. Afraid I don’t know the other two you mention.

  • omnisphere is amazing and has more presets than there is time in a lifetime to go through. It does have a 'sound' though and usually you need to simplify the preset to make them sit well in a mix without dominating. Then again that's most synths. But it covers everything you'll ever need but if you do need more there is of course Trillian and Keyscape which you can add.

Otherwise perhaps take a look at Serum.

Cheers chaps.....I’m not into editing really too much.....basic stuff is fine but anything  more I get fed up.

I’m thinking Omni is the way to go....but it’s also most costly ...

Omnisphere 2 for me. Because there are so many phenomenal presets, often overlooked is it's actual synthesis ability. It can do just about anything and out of everything I have, this is the one synth I'd not be without.
You want simple analogue sounds - check. You want evolving multimbral rich layered pads - check. Haven't found a genre or sound it can't do, yet, and I've had it years.

Have a look at Pluginguru Unify, I can't heap enough praise on it really, the concept is groundbreaking.

Omni is good but you can end up wallowing in indecision.

Have a look at the Rob Papen synths.
    Blue is excellent.

  • There's so much choice. The Arturia ones are very cool. I have the V5 collection and have used it quite a bit. I've never used Omnisphere, but love what other people have done with it.

Propellerheads Reason might be another option too. It comes with some really stellar synths, and has the whole "flip the rack around and use the cables" thing which might seem like a gimmick, but is extremely powerful. It runs as a DAW and as a plugin if you have Suite 11.

    Bye!

Omnisphere/Trillian/Stylus, the Bob Moog Tribute Library, currently toying with the idea of getting Keyscape (even though I lack the dexterity to exploit it). Used to run Distorted Reality and Metamorphosis libraries in rack samplers.

In which case, you will appreciate Omnisphere's search engine. Select sounds by name, category, genre or other properties.

Indeed. Again, pages and pages of professional preset patches. Blue's slightly unconventional editing can lead to interesting results by entirely random/chance parameter changes.

    Couldn't be without Keyscape.

One of the best keyboard libraries and certainly the best selection of the various Rhodes over the years .... Combine with Omnisphere and you get additional presets.

Diva & OP-X PRO-II are worth a look, with plenty of presets available.
If we are not ashamed to think it, we should not be ashamed to say it.

Completely left field, but the Alchemy synth in GarageBand is amazing too. Not much to tweak, but some of the presets are on a level with Omnisphere’s - honestly! And it’s free. I have owned Omnisphere for years and love it, but all the synths in this track were done on Alchemy:
