Cable for connection Rec Out to interface

I did a search but couldn't find this specific question answered.

I'm looking to connect the rec out (presumably line level?) of my amp into an audio interface (Clarett 2pre), the manual reads:

INPUTS 1 & 2 – “Combo XLR” input sockets for each channel - connect microphones, instruments (e.g., guitar), or line level signals via XLR or 1⁄4” jacks as appropriate. Either TRS (balanced) or TS (unbalanced) jack plugs can be used for instruments or line level signals.

What is not clear to me is whether I should be using a TS instrument lead, as in the one I use to connect my guitar to amp input or a speaker specific cable, as in the one to connect a head to a cab.

Thanks

What he said. If your amp's line out is balanced, then you can upgrade to a TRS cable for some low-noise benefit, otherwise a regular TS cable is all you need.
