Attenuator - diy and nowt went bang!!!

Not sure if this is the right place but I thought you lot would get more use out of this than the making and modding lot... so here we go!...

got sum bits... had the box and switch kicking around ordered an L Pad and stole some jack sockets from Darren!...



This is how you wire the bugger up!.



Drilled the box and added wires and switch!...



After testing and realising I’d got pins 1&3 round the wrong way I wrote on the box...



Good for up to 50watts with 8ohm speakers!...

I’ve done a really shonky iPhone vid for you to hear how well it attenuates the volume...

it’s a 5e3 pretty much maxed out on the volumes and you can hear me talking over the top!...

Cost for the L pad was under £20!...

    Nice ... you sure that's good for 50 watts though  ? I can see it's good for a few watts but I think 50 would be pushing it

    It’s rated for 50w. My 5e3 and 18watt won’t get near that to be fair...

    you can get higher wattage L pads tho’
