Recording directly to Android phone / tablet?

Hi all,

I've been recording through my laptop using bandlab. The issue is latency and the correction tool doesn't really do its job since the latency seems to fluctuate between 110ms-200ms. Apparently recording directly into an Android device solves this issue.

My question is - can anyone recommend an entry level interface for Guitar to Android? Thanks in advance.

I thought Android had appalling latency, and only a few phones have tackled it?

I just ran the RTL test on this page - https://superpowered.com/latency - and got 67ms (!) on my Android 9 Moto G7 Power.

    Buy a used iPad! :)

Fair enough - I actually have an iPhone too, it's a work phone, but that's fine. Are iPads known for handling latency better?

I was continuing down the Android path because all my stuff is Android and my mate who I'm collaborating with uses Android and has no latency issues whatsoever.

iPhone, eh? Modernish one? If later (better) than the iPhone SE, then yes. I have posted this video countless times as an example:
