Alister and the guys build great sounding guitars. This looks a beauty.  Enjoy.

lovely, I have yet to play an Atkin, but the ones I've heard sounded fantastic.

  • I traded my Colling CJ35 recently because I found the nut width a bit too much for me - although not the same guitar (size wise) I find the sound and feel very satisfying. I found the finish a bit strange because I thought it was maybe a bit overdone but in all honesty I have never been up close to a really old instrument with a checked nitro finish. I think I may have preferred the mirror finish but the ageing process alters the response and sound of the instrument so I have gone for this one. Having said that the look is growing on me and I love the amber shade of the binding etc. It has that “old” vibe but looks new (shiney) and I think that is what my brain is having difficulty processing.

    Happy NGD!
.......and great choice! I bought Warren's old Atkin and enjoy it every day. Atkin make incredible guitars.
