They're not very good cards anyway IMO. They're on the lower side of average, poor latency performance, and last I used one, supported non-power of 2 buffer sizes, which is often a source of crashes in plugins and DAWs.

That in itself might prompt me to cancel - is there a better option for a 2 input interface I should be looking at? I want to record dry DI guitar signal and simultaneously amp signal post IR load?

It'd be absolutely fine for that.  It's pretty much exactly how I use mine.  Guitar into ABY then one output into the interface, the other into my amp then out via a Torpedo Captor into the second input on the interface.

I'd be looking at an Audient id22. I've not used it, but enough of my mates use them and swear by them that it'd be my first port of call for a small 2 channel interface.

I like my id22. They're not best in class for low latency performance for sure, but I'm not hitting my head against brick walls with my Ryzen 3900x.

I've had no troubles with mine, the facebook group suggests there are some who have problems with overheating parts - that might be sorted now. It sounds good, I rate the preamps and the D/A. Form factor's great since you don't need an extra piece of gear to control playback vol.

Yeah... as feared it was a scammy scam marketplace seller. Amazon AtoZ refund processed straight away for me without issues.
