Which two free waves plugins should I choose?

I bought some Waves plugins over Black Friday, and can choose two more for free.

Any recommendations? Any "must-haves"?

Where is the list of what you can choose from? Generally they don't include everything...

    What do you already have?

Ah ok... I’ve got most of those in that list...

The three I get the most use out of in that list are j37 tape, Abbey road chambers, and ssl g eq...

but it depends what you will be using them for I guess... the j37 is only useful for adding a bit of grit and you can do that with omni channel anyway!.

    Good question.

TBH, I don't know. I'm relatively new to this. By "this" I mean DAWs. I worked in studios and live sound in the 80s but tech has moved on somewhat since then.

    My current common use-cases are:

mixing live multitrack recordings of my band
recording/mixing a duo I play in (female vocals)
    recording myself doing covers (guitar/vox)

I also quite fancy experimenting with some electronic stuff - think Röyksopp/Goldfrapp

  • Have you got a decent synth? If you're wanting to play with electronic music, it's good to have several to call on.

    No, not yet.

I've got Mainstage and a tiny usb Midi keyboard. I want to get a better keyboard/controller soon. Still feeling my way in to try and figure out what I should get.

  • I should add, if, like me and most other people, you try a few different verbs/comps/gates/delays and then settle on a favourite.

If that's the case then just try stuff you don't have
