Try me!
I briefly got my hands on a new laptop last week with a Ryzen 7 4700u processor. Latency is very small indeed, smallest of any laptop I've tested. Going by my tests, comments made by a couple of mods at PC Specialist, and from comments made by users at Gearslutz, the Ryzen based laptops do seem to have a clear DPC latency advantage compared to Intel. Less latency = way easier to set up for audio production.
Short version: Ryzen kicks ass as a music production laptop.
I'm presuming the laptop being sold here has an R5 4600H. Plenty of processor grunt. So yeah, it'll be fine fur audio production.
I'm not much of an audio producer - working mostly with sample libraries etc so this looks like it might be a good option for me. Tempted.
My mac, mid 2009 is becoming rather obsolete now, despite my attempts to keep it updated, mac os will only allow me to upgrade so far as yosemite, which is becoming incompatible with platforms such as Kontakt Player etc
