When did American prototype Washburns start to be made in China ?

Or more to the point, when did a standard production Washburn EA48 Festival series become an American Prototype with a 'Made in China' label on the inside.

Am I missing a marketing trick, or are my Primark Y-fronts really Calvin Klein prototypes ?

  • We need to have new labels made.  I suggest

'Made in American under Chinese financial agreement'

'Not quite made in China with bits from over there'

'Slung together in the U.S.A for consumption over here'

'Not quite sure where this was made but its affordable to the masses'
