Cable storage advice

Hi everyone, I usually hang out on the FX page, but this felt more appropriate here.

What are you all using to hang your cables on the walls for storage?

I use these - easy to put up and remove though only for one cable per hook.

Cheers both. I'm wondering about something longer, like maybe a shelf bracket that could hold a handful of cables. I thought they would be loads our there but seemingly not...

I made one a few years back by gluing some strips of wooden dowel into a block of wood - worked a treat! 

I think it was 10mm dia dowel and the strips were about 15 cm long. Drilled 10mm holes every 25cm into a pice of wood batten (25mm x 15mm profile) that was approx 100cm long - so one each end and 3 spaced equally along the strip of wood and just stuck a bit of glue on the end and hammered them in. Each ‘prong’ would take 4/5 cables so the whole thing was good for 20+ cables in total.

I also made one of these some time back (I'm using cup hooks these days).  Whilst trying to find a picture of one, to suplement Rob's description, I ended up on a modular synth forum.  Fuck me, I thought that I had too many leads (well my wife tells me that I've go too many) but these guys are something else.

The IKEA pegboard is also a good shout @duotone - I reckon that with 5 packs of the hooks (10 in total) would be good for 30 - 40 cables for less than £20! 

Hopefully it would take the weight cos 40 decent cables would be a few kilos!

Good shout, I too wonder about the weight limit but it looks good if it's sturdy enough.
