OK, saw them on Youtube a few years ago. 
Relatively young band but not very young
drums, bass, guitar, singer
In the video I remember they were all playing fairly close to eachother, just playing 'live' nothing fancy. 
I have a feeling that red tones were the predominant colour in the video?
Guitarist I think had curlyish fair hair, red tele played highish
singer slim, a bit of face fuzz I think, maybe wore a hat?
I think that they were UK/London based? Certainly British

Right then, I've been scratching my head all day and I wonder if you're thinking of White Denim?
4 piece, some absolutely fantastic and busy guitar work, guitar worn high...
I can't recall any red Tele but you might be confusing Dirty for Denim?

Thanks for the effort people, still not found although some interesting bands have been mentioned.

On the Dirty thing - if it isn't dirty, then it was something 'sleazy sounding'. I remember that the name didn't appeal to me but I liked the band.
