Disinfectant spray for chairs

As I'm reopening my teaching room for in-persons next week I'm looking for some form of anti-bac/disinfectant I can use on the chairs students sit on to clean between lessons.

I don't think I should use the Dettol one as its meant for hard surfaces only like door handles and table tops etc. I don't want to risk damaging the fabric on the chair.

Are there any sprays out there I can use that are safe for this material?

Ordinary anti  bacteria spray won’t do anything for Covid ...  you need alcohol or bleach I think

most places are using disposable plastic covering and changing them between people sitting on them

It’s a shame though as it means a lot more plastic is being thrown away than normal

Hmm yeah I didn't wanna go down the plastic route. I have a bottle of SurSol bleach but it will damage the fabric on the chair, even if I did dilute it?

It contains a non-alcohol based antiviral agent; Benzalkonium chloride, I believe.

Can you provide the student with a hard plastic chair for ease of cleaning?
You say, atom bomb. I say, tin of corned beef.

Maybe a  covering that can be cleaned?

Or try and find a cheap hard, or plastic/leather, type jobbie.

Usually they have arm rests, not ideal for playing guitar!

Maybe, though I don't want to be stuck with more chairs I don't need after this is finally over.

Touching optimism there.  I'd be inclined to get the chair.  [/Eeyore mode]
Besides, a bit of cleanliness never hurt especially cos people's bottoms could have been in contact with all kinds of sh*t.

How about a simple no-arms chair or stool and using a roll of that paper stuff they use on beds at the doctor's or hospital. Chuck it away after each lesson and then wipe the chair down at the end of the day.

As @Cols  has mentioned, SurSol will do the job & put your mind at rest. Transmission via seating fabrics has to be pretty low on the list of infinite possibilities for infection, unless you are teaching vulnerable seatlickers.
