Sold: Nik Huber Krautster II Gold Top Special One Piece Body £1890

Nik Huber Krautster II Goldtop from August 2013.

Mahogany body, cream binding, curly maple neck (42.5mm width at the nut and a radius of 255mm - 355mm), East India rosewood board, 22 frets (medium jumbo extra hard) bone dots, bone nut, satin finish.

Häussel P90 neck pickup and a Häussel humbucker at the bridge.

Three way switch, master volume and master tone (with push/pull for a coil tap).

Original cream hard case and Huber CoA.  Near mint condition.

Very unusual in that it's a one piece body. All the Krautsters I've seen are two piece. Looking for £1890
I sold this then the deal didn't come off but in the meantime I decided I didn't want to sell it. That said, need the funds now for the next one. So here it is again.

Krautsters are fabulous guitars. Good luck getting yours. I'm looking at a Dolphin II. Mind you, if I don't move on my Gold Top I won't be too disappointed. I really like it.

Love the story behind the Krautster.
I read that Nik Huber got a gig playing guitar in a Foo Fighters tribute band and decided he needed a particular guitar for the job.

Ex krauster 2 owner here too loved the idea but wasn't for me in the end I'd probably get another if I stumbled across it and had spare cash .I had the ice blue twas super sexy. struggled to get 1500 for it though...that was last year . There was also recently a mint white one on eBay for ages eventually went for 1650 or there abouts . Think they hiked the new rrp up this year at some stage. Goldtops are awesome and they have an excellent fat neck profile with impeccable build .

I'd snap 'em up at £1500 or £1600 too! RRP is £2600. They maintain value really well (the ones I've seen anyway, but there are always bargains to be had). I'd definitely keep mine if I couldn't get £2000 for it (probably get that at WG but I've two guitars to shift, this one plus a CS Strat, so need some cash). Far too good for less. Love the Orca 59 too but I am looking at a Dolphin II.

Used to have a Dolphin, and they are great guitars. This Krautster looks awesome, must be one of the best looking guitars around in this colour combo.

I love them but you have to get used to a neck that makes a Nocaster feel like an Ibanez shred machine !!!!

I agree, not that huge.  I had a Krautster for a while and although it was a mighty big neck it wasn't as deep at the nut end as a Nocaster - it was closer to my Gibson CS LP Special, I'd say.
