What budget?

Oil City Winterizers are good. So, is the DiMarzio DP283 Notorious. Their new Paul Gilbert models should be worth checking out.

Seymour Duncan Antiquity versions of Firebird and Minis are very nice but probably unrealistically expensive for your project guitar.

If I recall correctly, @ICBM had a pair of Firebird type pickups listed in the classifieds.

@Funkfingers thanks for those - I've had oil city in the past and Ash has always been very helpful and the pickups I thought were great. But as you say a pair come in at £190 and that's pretty much what I paid for the guitar as a bit of fun... never say never though!

I'll be honest they are probably overkill for the guitar... It's a firebird kit, bolt on neck etc.

I'm guessing they'll be more than the guitar is worth! Hope much are you looking? @lovestrat74 ;

Aged nickel, but I think I will keep them for now until I/If I find a replacement..
