  • A Night at the Opera. Still good, after all this time.
"Working" software has only unobserved bugs. (Parroty Error: Pieces of Nine! Pieces of Nine!)

The Martian. Bit too Hollywood for me but still very good. Pretty faithful to the book too.

Having previously seen Saving Private Ryan and Interstellar, I am staggered by how much money the US taxpayer must have spent over the years just on rescuing Matt Damon. He certainly shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a spacesuit in future - it will only end badly.

Just watched Self/less and thought it was wonderful entertainment.
Cannot remember such a huge gap between my rating of a film (I will say 7.5) and the rating in Rotten Tomatoes (20%). IMDb rating is 6.5.

It is not perfect (just a few wooden lines from the cast including the first appearance on screen of the child actress). But the pace is relentless.

^ This. Not for the squeamish, the faint-hearted, people who can't stand the sight of blood, etc. But absolutely gripping.

Yes, sorry, my comment referred to the movie Kajaki. Fretmeister must have posted just before my response to Jonnyburgo.

Jumpers for Goalposts. The Ed Sheeran Wembley concert movie. Must admit I'm not a great fan of his music, but was still a fascinating film. Essentially he plays Wembley solo using just a looper to layer up the sounds. Kept the crowds entertained. Comes across as a genuine nice guy.
