I know I will regret this, but again it is a needs must situation.

A 2016 guitar that originally sold for £4k and was featured in Mcilroy's Super Six in September that year. The condition is stunning, the tone is mesmerizing with a build quality to rival any acoustic I have ever played.

It is a mid size Auditorium guitar and is built using solid Italian Val de Fiemme Spruce and solid premium grade figured Myrtle. The five piece neck is constructed from Mahogany, Maple and Walnut.

The fingerboard is Ebony and bound with Maple and Ebony with an Abalone Celtic knot inlay at the 12th fret.

The body is bound with in Curly Koa, Maple, Pear and Rosewood.

I have no connection with the seller but would just like to say that this looks like a very good deal for someone local. Dermot McIlroy makes superb instruments in a very small workshop where he is personally involved with every instrument.

This is really very reasonably priced for such a great guitar. I have an A86 Custom and it is jaw droppingly good. I am sure this will be the same. Good luck with the sale.

Agree totally, if this had Lowden on the headstock it would be a grand more.  Stunning guitar.  GLWTS

Picked this up of Paul yesterday and I'm very happy with it. Thanks so much. What a guitar! I'm definitely a fan of Lowdens too, but I can honestly say that Mcilroy guitars, like Avalons, surpass the build quality of Lowden every time and are massively underrated.

Pleasure to have met you yesterday Graeme and thanks for making the journey to buy the Mcilroy. I am pleased it has gone to someone who appreciates what a great guitar it is.
