*SOLD* LsL Badbone 290 (Telecaster), Ice pink p90/Hum

So…another savage of a guitar I’m putting up to fund a new purchase. Bought this Badbone 290 new from Peach (hence most of the the photos). Could this be the ultimate Tele? I think so. It’s essentially a handmade in Santa Clarita California, boutique Telecaster on steroids. Made by a small but passionate company loved the world over by session players and artists.  With the Badbone 290, you get all the Tele twang but with a side order of pure beef thanks to the hand wound in house LSL P90 and splittable humbucker. Imagine the master built love child of a Tele and Les Paul and you’re on the right track. The hand carved, roasted figured neck is a “C” but more on the vintage chunky side which is by no means big but feels right in the hand. Resonant ash body in reliced “Ice Pink” wrapped in super thin nitro which looks cool AF with the old school single ply black pickguard. LSL make a big effort to shoot the thinnest finish possible so the body can vibrate. All the hardware is reliced satin (but no rust) and really completes the look. Like all LSLs it just feels alive, organic with a tone that has this openness but with a nice bit of compression at the same time. It’s everything a boutique guitar should be. I LOVE this guitar and am still not 100% comfortable about letting her go….urgh. If you’ve always liked Teles but have been left wanting, this could be what you’re after. LSLs just have this organic vibrancy that I’ve yet to experience with most other brands…..and owned a lot of them at this point, lol! Exclusively a studio guitar so in great condition and only the slightest of signs of play on the frets. Nothing significant enough to impact playability at all but if I’m being hyper critical, you can see a slight flattening compared to a new guitar with brand new frets. It’s a secondhand guitar that’s been loved and played after all. I hadn’t planned to sell her but the g.a.s is strong and not cheap, lol. 

Specs:

Body: Ash finished in reliced Ice Pink and thin nitro lacquer.

Neck: Hand carved, figured roasted maple, chunky “C”

Fretboard: Indian Rosewood, 9.5 radius, clay dots.

Pickups: Handwound in-house vintage P90 and push pull tappable humbucker. 

Hardware: In-house made with brass saddles in the bridge, all aged.

Weight: 7lb 12 ounces

I was lucky enough to play one of these about a week ago. About the only Tele that’s ever turned me on to owning a Tele. Wicked bit of kit. Good luck with the sale bud. That’s a lot of guitar for the money!

Thanks a lot man, appreciate that. Tell me about it….I’ve never owned a guitar like it. Does everything….Joey Landreth to Keef tones. Old school blues to heavy stuff. LsL are just awesome in general but this one is special. Reckon I got a few more days before I bottle selling her, lol

@WatchMan77 ;It does! Although in the vid it seems dialed in a bit thin to me. Maybe it’s the amp. I raised the action a bit so it’s a bit fatter sounding now, which I like. LsL pickups are so great though
