What uni vibe pedal?

Anyone use one?

Which do you use? 

More importantly,  where in your chain do you place it? 

I am looking at either TC electronic viscous vibe or an EarthquakerDevices The Depths and was thinking it would be a direct swap for my chorus pedal in the fx loop.

I'm hoping to sound like EVH during the later Hagar years.

I used to use them, when I was transfixed by Hendrix and Trower. They're one trick ponies to me though. I now use a Phase 95, which I find more flexible.

Always before dirt for me.

Was EVH a user? I know he's renowned for using a Phase 90.

Can you post an example of one of his uni-vibe tunes? Would help with advice giving. tbh I have no memory of EVH using one.

Vibe placement tends to be about personal preference. Usually people talk about before or after a fuzz; some like it before, some after.

Robin Trower uses a Fulltone DejaVibe and he’s the go to guy if you’re after that classic univibe tone. Listen to Trower’s Bridge of Sighs to get the idea. 

Placement is up to you, some people like vibe before drive but Trower has his last in the chain, his set up is tuner/OD/wah/wahfull(kind of a fixed cocked wah pedal)/vibe.

Totally agree.  Phase pedal is my choice now.

I loved the Voodoo labs microvibe I used to have. As to placement, can be in either position, but the sound is very different (before for hendrix/Trower style sounds)
