Can’t post comments

What's Hot
Hi all,

noticed recently that I can’t post comments. I can start a thread or PM someone, but I can’t post a comment for some reason. I can type the comment, but when I hit the ‘post comment’ button it doesn’t do anything.

I’ve deleted cookies/website data and that hasn’t changed anything.

Any ideas please?

Thanks.

Have you got another device you can try from?

Alternatively clear your cache or try an incognito session?

if the second sentence doesn’t make sense let us know which browser you use and someone can help you out I’m sure.

Yep, sorry, second sentence is way over my head unfortunately. I’m using Safari on iOS 14.8 if that helps?

Just checked, and same issue on other threads. Maybe a settings thing? Could my rights have changed on posting comments?

To clear your history in IOS go to Settings>Safari. Scoll down to "Clear History and Website Data" That may mean you have to log back in on some sites though.

To do teh ingognito thing - Chrome terminolg :) In IoS Speak it's the much more sensible "Private Browsing" and you need to do a long tap on the icon that looks like 2 overlapping squares and select Private

@drofluf thank you. The private browsing thing worked. I’d already tried the website data thing and it hadn’t made a difference, so I’m not sure what it was. I was trying to comment on one of my own posts in classifieds.
