That's great until they randomly yank the 3.5mm connector out to make a phone call and you blow up your 5,000W PA system and deafen everyone with static bangs and crackles.

Yeah the 3.5mm port has just about disappeared from phones now. Got caught out a few times when the iPhone 7 was released. Now we have the adapters and a little BT module for guest phone music.
