It was 30 years ago today ....

... more or less, give or take 6 months.  It was just pointed out to me by an old school friend that my first "gig" was 30 years ago.  That honestly surprised me, I mean, it shouldn't have because I was at school at the time.

In that 30 years I've been in 12 bands and depped for dozens. I've played school halls, pubs, clubs, fetes, theatres, concert halls, festivals and even a couple of stadiums.  I couldn't even begin to count the number of shows!  And loads of amazing sound engineers, studio engineers, producers.

Some of it has been incredible, some of it has been horrendous.  Would I change any of it?  Probably not as even with the horrendous bits we can learn. I hope there are 30 more ... well, no, because there's no way I'm going to live that long ... another 15 would be nice ha ha

There is no real point to this post, just amazed me and enjoyed a momentary reflection.  And gives a chance to discuss your own career longevity.
