Callaham Bakelite pickguard.  I bought this brand new last year for £62 - a mad price but it is superb.

This has a black mirror finish.  As Callaham say, “The problem with Bakelite is that it is not plastic but compressed black fibreboard and so the finish is really not great.  The only way to get a polished finish back in the day was to spray it with lacquer and hand polish it and that is exactly what Callham do and as far as we know there is no one else doing it.”

Callaham also replicate the 5" diameter circle on the back, not that anyone will see it but just because and of course it is drilled to the original 5 hole pattern.
