There’s an ex-forces chap in the village who organises a carol band every year to raise money in support of the local air ambulance. (Band being a relative term - anyone of any or even no musical ability can join in. It’s a bit of a hodgepodge of various instruments and the ability to count bars appears to be optional.) Anyway this morning we performed in front of the village store and the air ambulance helicopter did a flypast a few hundred feet above us, and then did a circle before disappearing off into the distance. Fantastic.
