Gibson J-185. Not to be confused with the J-185 Original. This is a Custom Shop J-185 Vintage in perfect condition!

It has a thermally aged solid Sitka spruce top and flame maple back and sides. There is not a mark on the guitar - it looks brand new, no fret wear, dings or scratches.

Parallelogram inlays adorn the short scale neck. The fingerboard is rosewood and there are two inlaid mother-of-pearl Maltese crosses on the bridge. It is finished in Gibson's thin nitro-cellulose lacquer.

It comes with a special brown, pink-lined case with extras as shown and the Gibson papers. The retail price was over £4,000. My price is £̶2̶6̶9̶9̶ £2649.

All in all, a splendid guitar - a well-balanced, mellow tone and killer looks. Very easy to play with its short scale neck. Gibson checklist dated 4 January 2019.

The action is set low (2.2mm at twelfth fret, sixth string).
