Leaked Fender Player Plus Meteora Silverburst and potentially Meteora Active Bass?

Found these two over the weekend, but has anyone else seen anything else about them?

As I couldn't find any image for the active Meteora bass model, and that could be really interesting. Source appears to be offset forum and then picked up on Reddit, etc

Suspect they are holding back on some announcements until later - summer NAMM maybe? A new all-rosewood Tele was also allegedly spotted somewhere in a dealer's marketing material, and the rumours about the American Original line being replaced/heavily updated is also rife...

I found it very comfortable BUT entirely incongruous with the Telecaster bridge, pickups and control circuitry on the posh American version. The MIM variant with humbuckers made more sense.

For me, the problem with the Meteora cosmetics is that they resemble something that might have been scribbled on a school exercise book by a thirteen year old boy.

The only person who positions the volume knob that far from the bridge is Paul Gilbert. Mind you, he has enormous hands.

Ah... that explains it. Not to worry, I've just discovered Gordon Smith can make something rather special for me, so a new Fender is not going to be happening for me in the near future.
