    Does the jazzmaster pup come with cover and fixings?

    @funkfingers could I put this in the neck position? I mean sonically, would it work?

    Yeah but no but …

    Obviously, the pickup will work in any position. The polepiece spacing is the same for bridge and neck. The covers are the same size. There is not a massive difference in output between bridge and neck.

    The negative aspects are;
    1) The magnetic polarity and coil direction will not cancel hum when combined with a second JM bridge position pickup.
    2) If liftman's pickup has been removed from a Fender AVRI or AV guitar, the black conductor wire may be cut very short.

    If the black conductor is shortened, on a regular Jazzmaster, you might get away with grounding the pickup to the chassis of the Rhythm Circuit slider switch.
    You say, atom bomb. I say, tin of corned beef.

    OK thanks for the Wiz.

    @liftman I think I'll give it a miss, but thanks for the info :+1:
