This is the 80th solo of the Month (SotM) Challenge.

Record your solo over the top of it and then submit it (ideally in mp3 format) to solos@theFB.co.uk

Also, feel free to comment on how you approached the solo, which will add a bit more interest and maybe we can learn something from each other.

There should be headroom to record your solo. Try to set a level without excessive master limiting, because we want to avoid loudness wars.

Voting will start soon after the submission deadline, with each voter selecting their 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice.

First choice gets 5 points - Second choice gets 3 points - Third choice gets 1 point

The order and scores of the top three entries will be announced soon after the voting ends.

Sent one in.

I just took receipt of a Headrush Pedalboard so i eagerly opened the box, dialled up my first patch.  Haven't yet managed to work out how to use it as a USB audio in my DAW to reamp so just had to record as is via my interface and use EQ and Compression to tinker with the sound after.  Just one single take so not too fiddley.

nice backing track, splendid dynamics and deep rich bass to it

Loved the excellent touch interface,  just found I wasn't 100% happy with it.  I wanted more pedal slots, found some pedals a little hissy, and I reckon line 6 might bring out a new touch screen helix device sooner or later so may have a look at that.

Just sent one in. This one's all tele straight into my recently received Lazy J40 (erstwhile of our backing provider for the month @digitalkettle ;) mic'd with a bit of reverb and panning added in DAW.

Sent one in just now. It took me bloody ages to get into the feel of this - I'm so used to riffing out I had to change gear a few times before it felt right. In the end I settled on a single guitar line throughout this time as a contrast to the doubles and bits last month. This is all DI guitar (PRS Holcomb 6) into Studio One 5 with Neural DSP Petrucci providing some pretty convincing tones with huge delays and some modulation.

Sent mine in. A simple chord progression though I agree with @jasonbone75 ; I also found it particularly tough to get into the feel of this one. Anyway, that made the whole thing quite challenging and interesting, so I really enjoyed working on this one. A Les Paul Classic led the team, which was joined by a POD HD 500 (I wish I'd used a real Fender Deluxe and a real Mesa Boogie)... my Charvel/Jackson has been in repair for a long time.
