Didn't Gordon Giltrap play a few of Rob Armstrong's guitars ? Seems to ring a bell somewhere with me. Can't remember ever playing one myself, but he is work carries a great reputation.

I have a CD somewhere called, I think, "Master Craftsmen" which features various artists playing his guitars and other stringed instruments. Quite a few Fairport Convention and related People.

There's some really good stuff on it and I think the idea came from the artists as a tribute to a much-loved instrument maker.
