Solo of the Month (SotM) #81 - Challenge

This is the 81st solo of the Month (SotM) Challenge.

The challenge is now open and ends at midnight 23rd April 2022.

This is quite a sparse one. So you can simply add a solo, or fill it out with extra stuff as well if you wish.

Record your solo over the top of it and then submit it (ideally in mp3 format) to solos@theFB.co.uk

Also, feel free to comment on how you approached the solo, which will add a bit more interest and maybe we can learn something from each other.

Some blurb from @DrHungry: I’d like to say this is inspired by Carlos Santana’s various incarnations over the years, with a modern day latin/hip hop fusion followed by a classic Abraxas era percussion flame out. But really it’s just a rip off of the soundtrack from that Disney movie that my kids watch over and over.

There should be headroom to record your solo. Try to set a level without excessive master limiting, because we want to avoid loudness wars.

Voting will start soon after the submission deadline, with each voter selecting their 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice.

First choice gets 5 points - Second choice gets 3 points - Third choice gets 1 point

The order and scores of the top three entries will be announced soon after the voting ends.

No prizes. It's just for fun.

sent... great backing, so different from the last few! I added a bit of extra padding, load of reverb, and a synthy lead for a laugh on the B section. probably got a bit carried away but sure that's half the fun

I really wanted to use a SITAR vst3 but I couldn't find one.  All the ones I did find didn't seem to work or sounded rubbish.

I'm afraid a couple of gigs and frantically practising for said gigs scuppered my plans for recording this month. Plus the cat ate my homework. Poor form when it's my own backing, I'm sorry. Can't wait for a @susbemol 's track next month though.
