Oil City Calibre 5/3

I've now had one of these @OilCityPickups ; in the Bridge position of my strat for a few months.
Thought I'd leave a review on here as I don't belive it's mentioned enough. 

The calibre 5/3 is an awesome pickup. The end.

No, it really is, it has really smooth highs with powerful lows but it's not too hot. It's not super hot but it's hotter than all the standard strat Pups I play. A lot of people review strat pickups playing blues music. I don't, I tend to play a lot of modern alt rock and punk. Think biffy clyro, Idles, Slaves. This does that job really well, it's got loads of spank for chords up the dusty end of the neck but when I'm back up the other end the chords are powerful. Mixed with my Russian big muff they make the trousers shake.

Really really rate this pickup. I would have got a full set but I never use the neck or middle. Howver the bridge is so good I want the others to see what they can do.
