Coincidentally Mrs Colourbox and I were on about this on our lunchtime walk, when she spotted a front door in a nice shade of blue, and thought she was now old as a result. I on the other hand noticed a few years ago that I was no longer cool, hip or young, when I was stood in Halfords with the calculator on my phone working out the relative value of buying concentrated car window wash liquid compared to the ready made stuff.

@bertie - I recall some journalist talking about this in the 80's - the days of Sounds, NME and Melody Maker - When the headline story is about a band that has split up and you've never heard of them - It registered with me then, when I was in my 20's, let alone now, when I'm in my 60's

I dare say in any era, there is talent, band, artist, that you want to hear more of and acts that you just don't get, and don't want to hear
