What's a good one-stop-shop pedal for ambient textures?

Is there a good single pedal solution for lush sonic ambient soundscapes? I'm assuming it'll probably need to be a complex delay pedal, perhaps a Strymon variant?
Something to combine with a swell pedal for those filmic washes and pads.

Anything with multiple delay lines if possible. The Pedal Zone did a video on the new Andy Timmons Halo pedal that looks like that would do it.

From what I own, the EQD Disaster Transport Sr is great as it's two slightly differently voiced delays, with a reverb and the ability to blend those together in different ways.

On a budget though, any cheap analogue delay and any cheap longer digital delay together, probably work out cheaper than a standalone ambient machine.

Single pedals? Can't say. But if you like the sounds a Flashback delay or Hall of Fame reverb can make, then a Plethora X5 seems to have some merit amongst the "ambient guitar" brigade. It's got the FB 2, not the more complex X4 version or the Triple FB, but there's enough DSP power to run multiple instances in the single board - setting them quite differently. The FB2 Toneprints also include some modulation parameters that you can customise.

There's quite a bit of YouTube on this if you want to spend the time on researching it.

The Chords of Orion YouTube channel demos loads of pedals within a context of ambient guitar so worth a flick through.

EHX Superego+ gives you a sustain function for pads and has loads built in effects that can be applied to the sustained note.

If you want to configure your own delays and reverbs there’s an AxeFX Standard for sale in the Classifieds.

I'd probably say Old Blood Noise Minim. Delay, reverse, chorus and reverb in a little box and adjustable amounts of each. You can also move where the reverse happens and double it for fun little chripy noises.

If you can get stuff pedal the Beebo or Zoia to do that stuff - there’s a couple of patches you can just download to do that

i made a Zoia patch based on a Chords of Orion vid. It works well, though quick picking will catch it out

Would it be cheating to suggest a TC Plethora?

Definitely any number of OBNE pedals.

Hungry Robot makes a few that might work too. Might need an expression pedal to get the best out of any of the above though.

Minim is a good shout, though I'll be honest and say I couldn't really get my head around it.

I'm going to go for the obvious choice and suggest a Volante. It's so popular it feels like saying it's great is a cliche but man it really is that good.

Volante is great but spendy. Cheaper option would be the EQD Dispatch Master, doesn’t get the praise it deserves

I keep meaning to grab another especially as it’s only £155 now.

If you have the space and like to fiddle it’s such a cheap entry into mixing delays/reverbs.

That’s much cheaper than U.K. prices.

It’s nearly £100 cheaper than Andertons still includes VAT and free shipping.

EQD dispatch master is great for the floaty/airy washes of reverb + delay. Also sounds great as a 'normal' reverb if you need it.
