There's a couple of interesting points he makes in there - I thought the matching vibrato level given the singer who was performing idea was interesting (though being too accommodating to a singer might not always be the best idea given some meglomaniacs I've encountered).

There does seem to be this conception about Nashville being on another level for guitarists with Tom Bukovac gunslingers in every bar along the strip downtown.

I have no doubt there are some fancy pickers at the national level based there...but 
in the downtown bars ... it's your standard bar band doing You Shook Me All Night Long with trucker hats and stetsons on ...
