My go-to picks are Jazz III for comparison.

I'd like to try some BlueChip's of varying size and thickness, If anyone has one or two they fancy selling.

PM me. :+1:

I have a jazz 3 of theirs which I’ve had for years and it hasn’t worn down at all. Def worth an explore

Treated myself to a new BlueChip Jazz LG 40, but it's too thin for my liking, so a right waste of £40 delivered that was!. Identical in every way to a Jazz III, but just too thin.

If anyone has 50's or above give me a shout.

I use a 50 and a 40 (not at the same time)...but I'm on 'TP' style picks now. I find the 40 is a bit more nippy.

Whilst on the BC quest, I'd heard about the Dunlop Primetone 518P1.4 sculpted picks. Bought a pack of 3 for only £8. These may very well be my go-to's now. To be fair to the BlueChip though, the 40 might be too thin for my liking, but it really does sound good, the hypes justified.

  • I’ve got a bc jazz 50, as new - not used. Where abouts are you based? Would also be happy to do a straight swap for a as new tp 50

Hi @MikeS - I have a BC Jazz 60 and also have the Primetones 1.4's.  Oddly the BC doesn't feel wildly thinner but is is still much quieter on the strings.  I am still considering getting a fat BC tho.  I wish they would try putting a coating over a cheaper internal material to keep the prices down - maybe they already have?

I have a brand new and unopened BC Jazz LG 80.... I could trade for similar BC Jazz but thinner.

I’ve got a thinner TD40 that I don’t use as much as the jazz lg 60. I got the primetones after reading this thread and agree with @joeW, they’re not as quiet as the Bluechips.

The bluechips use a highly specialised material and they mill the plectrums out of bars, so unless the material manufacturer would get involved in producing the actual plectrums, I’m not sure how that would work. I don’t get the sense that it’s a material you could simply melt and use to coat something else with.

Done a trade with merlin for my 40, but still looking for 50's and 60's now

What a great result - those BC jazz 100’s must like a pebble - mmm.  Quite tempted by the smaller triangle STP ones but not sure about the bevelled edge. I might just have a go and report back … jp-guitars. Co.uk seem to have some

These BC picks are really nice. Merlin sent me the BC Jazz LG in size 80, and it's instantly a favourite.
