Part of the famous Motown songwriting team Holland Dozier Holland passed last weekend.

Reading about him I found the most striking he said was that  he thought there was no such thing as 'writers block' that that was just an excuse for laziness.

Apparently in Motown in the 1960s, they just worked and worked for 18 hours a day  without necessarily knowing whether what they produced would be any good. But obviously the team created a string of memorable classics.
