    There was a bit in eastenders, where he had a breakdown in his front  room, having suffered from depression, and having seen his performance, I had a lot more respect for him as an actor.

    My brother reminded me today that we always referred to Bill Treacher as "Clark", due to a pre-Eastenders Colgate advert in which he played "Mr Clark - Grocer". 

    We had nicknames for lots of actors.  Weird kids we were.
