I guess as it has no binding they make them a little cheaper. It looks to be all solid and is US-made.

What a bargain! Great guitars. I tried loads of partial and all mahogany guitars for a friend and the AD27 (not on special) was the clear winner.

There's an AD17e at Thomann for £990, but it is on back order

I tried a Blacktop AD17 a few weeks ago and really liked it, superbly made.
I'm 90% an electric player so didn't want to spend a lot on a quality acoustic.
Liked the Gibson G45 Generation model when I tried the Taylor, the Gibson sounded good but didn't look finished off.

Oh dear. I didn't want that big AD17, but the Urban Ash GTe (all solid, US made bigger bro to the GS Mini) that I was umming and arring about is also 40% reduced: https://www.thomann.de/gb/taylor_gte_urban_ash_spruce.htm

(FYI, for those who wanted a GS Mini with a wider nut, this is 1 23/32in! Not quite 1 3/4in.)
