Any tips for this Slash style sound , he’s not giving much away

I’m currently trying to get the feel of this guys playing  any hints or tips I’m trying using the natural minor  with a D or A chord  also adding the b7 here and there , minor & major pentatonics ok 
padding the blues note and chromatic notes on those little runs of 3 frets in pentatonic scale , this guy just seems to have that knack for selecting notes . I know listening to it and transcribing ,plus consulting all my slash tab books , but any helpful pointers . A lot of people teaching slash licks don’t have this sort of style ,it’s very fluid and rolling .
