Kim Simmonds, lead guitarist for Savoy Brown since he started the band in 1965, passed away Dec 13 from cancer.
He was 75.
Savoy Brown were one of the best bands of the 1960s British blues boom IMO.
R.I.P.

    Familiar with the (band) name, but not with the music.. Putting things right, belatedly..
     so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

    "Raw Sienna" is their best early LP, along with "Blue Matter" IMO.  After that singer Chris Youlden left.  A few years later the rest of the line-up split to form Foghat.  Simmonds kept the name (his brother was the manager) and carried on, mostly outside the UK.
