Question for Gibson Pickup Experts

I bought some Gibson Burstbuckers from the old MR site, my question is do all Gibson pickups have "Gibson" etched on the back? These just have a sticker AL1 and AL2 on back of them but nothing identifying them as Gibson. Any thoughts from the experts? Thanks

Some have gibson stamped on them,  the 496,500 ceramic do I think.

The burstbuckers all have a little sticker - AL for alnico and 1,2 or 3 for the output (in order of how hot they are).

link    this page has a fair amount of info - it used to have pics of the front and back of the p/ups but the rear pics aren't there now.

Burstbuckers should have a black "Patent Applied For" sticker, and a white paper BB#1 (or 2 or 3) on the back.

    No engraving.

  • I might be wrong, but I always thought that the engraving on the back only appeared on the after market ones
