Heavier gauge strings on travel guitars or lighter?

in Making Music
On my full-size instruments, flattop and electric, I generally play on Rotosound Hybrid strings with 9s on the top.
Given that preference, what is the perceived advice regarding the gauge of strings on travel guitars? I have a Martin LX1.
