It’s all fairly standard. Compressor/Tubescreamer/Goosoniqueworx 7thvn JFET distortion (which is very amp like) & a green Russian Muff reissue. Then the Bright Onion loop switcher controls the top row. I use the M5 for basic delays/Flange/wah.
Than the Walrus Slotva for big ambient washes. Usually mixed with another delay off the Timeline. I have an expression pedal on the M5 for tape delay feedback.

Anyway, that was 7 years ago ... WTF are you playing now?
Wow! Metal isn't my thing - but I do try to visit stuff thats outside my wheel house...... I can certainly appreciate this. One of the things that strikes me first is that you've really got to be tight..... there is a lot of tight syncopation between the drums and the guitar/riff.... the other thing is the intensity of the playing - the physicality of it - it looks so full on. Fair play. Is this thrash metal?
This was the smaller “second stage” at the festival but I think that actually was a benefit as the atmosphere was really good in a smaller space.
1) Yes
2) No. Too much hassle with visas and other stuff. We used to tour EU a lot with previous bands, but it's reduced now, we are reaching our 50s, and carrying complete backline with us, and it's no fun anymore. 3 or 4 gigs in a row is our maximum now.

This one is written by him - which explains why it has such a great bass line and it is so integrated with the drums - and I don't have to do much except tart about over the top.
