My Fat Pony new single

Proud parent living vicariously alert! My daughter's band, My Fat Pony, released their debut single today. This is one of the songs they recorded with Nile Marr (Johnny's son). I know I'm biased but I genuinely think they are a breath of fresh air - pop hooks aplenty, really good song-writing, a bit of indy cred, but they don't take themselves too seriously.

The video is wonderfully silly.

Enjoyed that, thanks for sharing. Reminded me of the good bits of mid to late 90s Blur, but with a touch of their own quirky personalities as well to make it something different. Nice galloping rhythm

I'm hearing Blur too and mentioned it to them - happy with the comparison but definitely not an influence.

Lol I quite like the Barbarians one. Mix was a bit average. I loved that first album

Second single out today - Gary. Think this a bit less immediate than John Woo, but some really good stuff going on in there. In parent mode, I love the trumpet - I could recognise my daughters playing style a mile off. Fans of the John Woo bass-line might enjoy Gary too. Not sure if this YouTube link will work.
