It works fine with WindowsXP (you'll have to find the drivers online), I don't know about driver availability or requirements with anything else.
Not USB powered, comes with power supply.
Half of the rubber has come off the output volume knob, and that knob gets scratchy when turning if you don't use it often. The scratchiness always cleared after turning it up-down-up-down a few times, I never tried any contact cleaner.
