Michael Rhodes (Prolific Bass player)

The music world lost one of its most prolific bass players today. Michael Rhodes was the bass equivalent of Lukather or Mason. Just hundreds of sessions. Its fair to say every one of us will have most likely heard his playing on record. More recently he was Bonamassa's bass player. He was a lovely guy too. Met him just the once. RIP Mr Bass.

A taller, meaner looking version of Wilko Johnson and a superb  bass player.  Last saw him with Jobo but had seen him in a few other bands too.   A sudden and sad loss. RIP.
