What to do with a 300 yo Walnut tree

Adam. I may have access to some walnut. The tree was felled earlier this year. I learned last week that the furniture maker who wanted it has failed to collect. After New Year I’ll go and inspect. If it hasn’t split then it should be useable.

What sort of size you thinking?  As you may have seen in one of the pics theres a stack of limbs and bits..

So... For anyone still interested it seems these walnut boards are starting to come through.

However. At the moment I am not working there again (due to my own issues) but they have some up on the web site

So you can contact them through that and deal directly..  If you want something in bigger or smaller dimensions email them and they will let you know whats dry.

I was in last week and saw these boards at the workshop in E17..

If you live anywhere near Upminster sort of area you can go to the farm where they mill and dry the timber and have a HUGE selection to choose from but that is by appointment only.
